as it ever occurred to you that as a company they need a lot of coffee…from specialized places… so they buy land and get cheap coffee beans. so what happened to the people who used to occupy the land before it was bought? easy! they are hired for cheap labor. as big as Starbucks is they need lots of coffee. and so they end up mixing beans from other farms making Sumatra. so you have coffee farms from Sumatra thats next to a mango farm. that coffee will have a hint of mango in it. and when that farm sells its beans to Starbucks it wont have its specialness because its being mixed unlike single origin coffee that only comes from one farm. and plus it taste better.
